AGT Auctions

All dates and times listed on American Gun Trading are Central Standard Time (CST). All AGT auction times are Central Standard Time (CST).

When an item is listed, the seller shall specify the number of days the auction will run.

An active timer will be displayed alongside the scheduled closing time of an auction on each listing. Auction sniping is the practice of a bidder placing a high bid seconds before an auction ends to prevent other bidders from being able to outbid them. To prevent auction sniping, AGT has implemented an auto-extension rule. If a bid is placed on an auction item within (5) five minutes of the scheduled closing time, the auction automatically extends the scheduled auction closing time by (5) five minutes. When (5) five minutes have passed with no bids made to the item, the auction will close.

When an auction closes, AGT sends an email to the seller and winning bidder. This email will contain all of the information needed for the buyer and seller to complete the transaction. Once an auction closes, the results are made public for all users to view. Auction results display the winning bid price and the User Names of the seller and winning bidder. A complete bidding history is also available as a link from the item's description page.

The winning bidder and seller should communicate with each other within (3) three business days once the auction has ended. If the winning bidder does not contact the seller within (3) three business days of the end of the auction, they may lose their right to purchase the item(s).
